A big hit to the budget but absolutely necessary to have a dryer as the pet bedding is washed and dried daily, the washer and dryer go all day long. If anybody would like to donate a dollar toward a new dryer, it's less than the cost of a cup of coffee and would help a lot. The shelter was closed the last week of 2011 to give the staff a much needed rest. They still went in to clean & walk the dogs. So even though they had a little break, there is still the responsibily of taking care of the animals at the shelter. They all do such a great job.
With the New Year ,always comes a fresh start for so many different things.  If your looking to Adopt, please come see us at the shelter. We have some great cats and kittens all looking for there forever home.  We also have a few dogs and the newest additons are four adorable 8 wk old puppies.  We ould love to start the year off with some forever homes for these awesome animals.
If you can't Adopt there are so many other ways you can help.  Just give us a call and we can tell you what we need on our wish list. Many items that come to mind are: paper towels,bleach,laundry detergent, canned dog and cat food, cat litter and there is so much more.  Maybe you would like to just come in and visit with the cats in the community room or walk a dog. Donations are greatly apprecated also. The money you donate goes to so many areas in making the shelter function.

You may have a "full house" but still want to find a way to help. We have four female cats that we would like to have spayed so we can waive their adoption fee. This would help us place them faster. The cost is $50 per cat. If anybody would love to help a kitty and would sponsor one of these four cats, just post a comment on facebook and mail your check to PO Box 548. On December 10th we are hosting a huge adopt-a-thon so would like to have them done by then.
